TESTING AVAILABLE AT ALL DEGREES OF HEALTH

There are a wide variety of tests available, some of which you may have had already. If you have further questions please call the clinic or email me. Tests costs are added on to the basic consultation fees.

Bioimpedence Analysis (“Vitality, Longevity and anti-ageing”)

Cellular Health Analysis (CHA) is a scientifically validated test that accurately measures biological "markers" of ageing. The CHA test will measure:

  • Fat mass
  • Muscle mass
  • Biological age
  • Cellular toxicity
  • Cellular fluid levels
  • Cellular vitality

The test is quick (about 5 minutes), non painful and very accurate. It is also completely safe for everyone including pregnant women and individuals with pacemakers. $35 initial test, $25 subsequent checks

Urine Tests:

Heavy Metal Analysis $10

This test determines if your body is eliminating (chelating) heavy metals. The colour change may reflect the most significant metal present. If this test is positive, options include further testing via hair analysis (see further on for explanation), a chelating solution called CH77 (mix 3ml of this in 1 litre water and drink throughout the day), or by using “G Tox Express” a green powder containing nutrients that aid the body’s elimination of toxins).

Gut Toxicity Test $15

This detects the presence of indican, a product of bacterial overgrowth in the gut (dysbiosis) or poor protein digestion. The depth of colour change indicates the level of dysbiosis. If this is positive, a gut detoxification program will be recommended.

Urinary dipstick (free with either of the above tests)

This test screens for signs of urinary tract infection, and measures levels of  protein, ketones, pH  and glucose in the urine.

Urinary antioxidant status: $30

Oxidative stress is a silent killer, implicated in many degenerative diseases including cancer, heart disease and immune problems. This test determines your levels of healthy anti-oxidants.

Urinary Pregnancy test: $5

Also available for sale

Ovulation predictor kits (LH tests).
5 tests $23: 7 tests $24.90
We explain how to use them to optimise conception timing.

BLOOD TESTS

Hemaview (Live Blood Analysis). $45
Hemaview is based on the medical science of Haematology. It provides an accurate and immediate indication of the state of your general health with a drop of blood placed under the microscope for a live image viewed on the computer screen. Hemaview™ can help assess the following factors:

  • Immune system health
  • Oxidative stress and free radical damage
  • Inflammation
  • Oxidative stress and free radical damage
  • Inflammation
  • Liver health

Coeliac screen $30
This rapid (10 minutes) and reliable finger prick test detects the presence of IgA transglutaminase auto antibodies which is associated with this gluten allergy disorder. Small bowel biopsy is the gold standard for diagnosis of Coeliac, so should the test be positive, referral for confirmatory tests will be recommended. Gluten needs to be consumed for 2 weeks prior to testing to be accurate.

Candida Screen (Candia) $30
This detects the presence of antibodies to Candia Albicans involved in vaginal thrush. This fungus is also implicated in a variety of health issues ranging from fatigue, irritable bowel syndrome to sub-fertility. It is best treated promptly, and we offer a variety of anti-fungal treatment and probiotics to support good bowel flora post-treatment.

Helicobacter Test: $30
This test is an alternative to the breath test and detects the presence of antibodies to Helicobacter Pylori, the organism implicated in stomach ulcers, reflux and oesophagitis. If detected, therapy options will be discussed, both natural and medical (via a GP).

Blood Group: $10
Dr. D’Adamo popularised the “Eat Right for your Blood Type” that supports the theory that the 4 main blood groups A, O, B and AB do better on different diets due to reactions of dietary “lectins” – food compounds found in many food groups. A group O may do better off wheat and dairy and is considered to feel better on a meat and veg diet as opposed to the more vegetarian based group A’s.

Glucose: (Special Offer - free with any other blood test)
This finger prick is best done either fasting or 2 hours after a meal. About 50% of people with diabetes are not aware they have the condition.

Other devices/tools

QXCI
$55
The Quantum QXCI device is an objective way to detect and correct imbalances in the body. It can be used to find the underlying cause of illness e.g. nutritional, allergic, digestive or emotional or due to toxic exposure. Tests include:

  • Allergy Testing http://www.alldegreesofhealth.com.au/images/bullet.gifOrgan Analysis http://www.alldegreesofhealth.com.au/images/bullet.gifNutritional Profile http://www.alldegreesofhealth.com.au/images/bullet.gifDental Analysis
  • Treatments performed include fertility boosting, stress reduction, NLP and hormone balances.

Iridology: (Currently included in the consultation, but a full 10 page report costs $250)
Iridology is the analysis of patterns, colour and structures in the iris of the eye. This can reveal our health, predisposition to illness and inherent strengths and weaknesses. Iridology helps us understand how to make the most of our genetic health, give clues to the origin of certain illness (e.g. genetic, diet or liver stress) and maximise our health potential.

AT HOME TESTS:

Basal temperatures.
This is used to chart fertile cycles and hormonal balance in women, but can also be used in both sexes to assess thyroid function.
Temperatures are taking first thing before rising in the morning, using a digital or mercury thermometer, in the mouth. In women with periods, the temps are taken either for the whole cycle beginning from day 7 (for hormone assessment) or day 7 – 10 (i.e. pre-ovulation) to check thyroid. In males any day is suitable.

Bowel Transit Time.
After abstaining from ANY corn for a period of 1 week, a cup of corn is eaten, and time recorded. Stools are observed for presence of corn and the time recorded. A normal transit time is between 17 and 24 hours. Quicker times indicate issues with malabsorption, longer times indicate putrifaction. Both issues can be addressed with natural treatments.

SEND AWAY TESTS include:

Urinary Iodine tests: (non-Medicare rebatable – approx. $27)
You will be given a referral and a container to take your first morning urine to a nearby Dorevitch Lab. Results take around 3 weeks.

Hair Analysis: $120
This is useful for determining mineral balance in the body and detecting heavy metals. A specimen of hair (about 1 tblsp) is sent to a lab in the USA and a full report is received approximately 3 – 4 weeks later. This outlines correct ratios of important nutrients, dietary strategies to normalise mineral status plus sources of toxic minerals.

Other tests may be recommended including salivary hormone, Oestrogen metabolites and more.
