Many of our practitioners from ADOH recently attended an educational update seminar on female hormonal conditions discussing new insights and approaches for helping PCOS, PMS, Endometriosis, Fibroids, heavy periods, painful periods and menopause.  This is a snap shot as to how we can help you.

Your hormones are the alarm bells responding to a deeper issue.  Even when only slightly out of balance, the effects are often noticeable.  You may experience, irritability, fatigue, low libido, emotional changes, weight gain or sugar cravings.  Or you could have a hormone related condition such as Endometriosis, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, infertility, thyroid conditions or menopause.  How many woman do you know who struggle with things like these?

The female hormonal network does not operate in isolation.   • Curcumin: the active ingredient in the herb, turmeric (one of my all round favourite herbs). Traditionally used for the management of period pain.  It is a strong antioxidant and anti-inflammatory, and supports liver detoxification.
  • Magnesium: is one of the first nutrients to come to mind when addressing female reproductive issues. This essential mineral plays an incredible number of roles in the body. It becomes even more important under times of stress, poor sleep, exercise and poor diet.
  • Reduce caffeine and alcohol as these can worsen hormonal symptoms.
  • Indole-3-carbinol: found in broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage and good old brussel sprouts is a powerful ingredient that supports oestrogen detoxification to maintain a healthy oestrogen balance.
